The earning potential within a Recruitment Consultant role such as this is based upon the dedication put into it, so working hard gains the most rewards – these come in the form of huge earnings, recognition, respect and rapid career progression. Your basic salary will be between £20,000 and £22,000, but with uncapped commission, you will expect to take home between £30,000 and £40,000 in your first full year within this role.

Responsibilities focus on the main goal of filling client’s vacancies. This is done through a wide range of daily tasks including cold-calling candidates, writing and posting job adverts, following up candidate applications, and managing the interview process from start to finish. As well as sourcing candidates, a Recruitment Consultant is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with existing clients, which involves booking and attending client meetings, attending networking events as well as cold calling new clients.

Requirements - the successful candidate will have:

  • A competitive character and a real drive to be the very best
  • Confident telephone manner and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of the Recruitment industry
  • Degree education (2:1) or sales experience
