My client is a long established Engineering, Design, Construction and Project Management consultancy. They have a recruitment business in their portfolio that services their client base in the specialist Engineering areas that the business consults on. The recruitment business has been established over 25 years and has traded very profitably with typically 350 senior level engineers on site.
My client is looking to diversify the recruitment business into new clients and new sectors building on the firm base that is established. They are looking to appoint a hands on Managing Director to lead and design this change in a 3-5 year plan. You will need to be a business winner, hands on with clients, and able to strategize the development of the business. You will be responsible for every aspect of the running of this business and its re design and re engineering. Reporting to the Chairman and FD of the group this is a Board level position.
The existing team is small, and you must have the ambition and vision to take advantage of the brand to enable growth. A strong flair for new business will be essential, but the proposition to clients is enticing.
It is envisaged a salary of around £80,000 plus bonus and potential profit share/equity will be on offer, there is some scope for negotiation for the right candidate. It is unlikely the role will pay above a £100k base, as you will likely be too far removed from the coal face if this is your expectation.
This is a truly unique opportunity, and one that should appeal to any aspiring senior recruiter. You will need experience operating at senior management level or above, but must also be able to show you are still a business winner, a rainmaker. This is not a billing role, but it is clearly a sales role.
