Orchard Recruitment is 30 years old this year and based in the heart of Enfield with free parking.
Over the years we have grown and contracted with the economy and there are now 5 of us here including Director/Owners Karen & Graham
Karen joined 22 years ago BTW; she’s a glutton for punishment!
We used to be a generalist agency also providing warehouse staff
Today we are more of a niche recruiter, specialising in property management, legal and accounting staff (non-practice)
Of course we are still very strong in our historic sector, office support
We operate from air conditioned offices that, to be honest are not the most glamorous, but they bright and airy
We enjoy a bit of banter and the language is sometimes a bit near the mark
We work 9/5 and offer 22 days holiday increasing to 25 a year plus a day off on your birthday and for Xmas shopping
Flexibility is part of our DNA, so we can offer part time hours or partial working from home.
We pay competitive basics, based upon experienced and proven billings and KPIs
The commission structure is 15% over a monthly £5k threshold (or pro rata) with a £100 bonus every time you bill a brand new client
When you hit your monthly target of £12k (or pro rata), you get an extra half day off and a £500 bonus
All our contacts are on a database, so it’s easy to see if another recruiter has been in contact with your prospect
If you have a candidate for another recruiter’s job, you’ll split the fee 50:50

As an indie agency, we do almost everything in house, so you'll need to be a 'hands-on' team player
Whilst we are active on Social Media, we are 'oldschool' and like to pick up the phone to people. Recruitment is, as much about sales as sourcing great candidates. To be a success at Orchard you'll need to be exceptional at both. If yiou need to brush up on your skills we have some exceptional training resources.
We're not into micro-management so we use a simple set of KPIs to report weekly figures
