The successful candidate will join SK's HR Team, reporting to the HR Director and working closely with team leaders across the business. Day to day you will work with the Resourcing HR Assistant in managing the firm's recruitment processes.

You will be responsible for delivering an effective recruitment strategy to support the resourcing demands of the business.

The Adviser will also be involved in various recruitment and retention related projects.

Experience/Qualifications Required

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years' recruitment experience from a professional services background. Legal experience would be preferred, as this will provide an advantage in terms of understanding the structure of the business. It will also be useful to have experience of working with legal recruiters.

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities are broadly but not limited to:

  • Being responsible for the firm's recruitment process, along with the HR Director: from supporting Heads of Team in assessing their resourcing needs, to using the appropriate methods (external recruiters, online, etc) to recruit quality employees;
  • Taking responsibility for new joiners' "on-boarding" and induction programmes
  • Work alongside the Resourcing HR Assistant to provide a consistent and positive recruitment process, also considering the assistant's personal development 
  • Working with advertising suppliers and social media means to develop the profile and advertising of the recruitment requirements
  • Managing PSL arrangements with agencies and suppliers for recruitment across all regions
  •  Collate and measure a range of recruitment metrics in order to analyse the return of investment across the recruitment lifecycle
  •  Develop the existing employer brand and ensure the Core Values are reflected across the entire recruitment lifecycle, ensuring the firm's culture is clearly recognisable and attracts talent
  •  Social media – maximising direct recruitment via (for example) LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter and Glassdoor
  • Utilising the new Recruitment module of the HR system, focusing on strong project management to ensure efficiency and correct utilisation and return on investment
  •  Working with Marketing to ensure the SK brand is being effectively promoted for resourcing and profile raising purposes
  • Coordinating the internal NQ recruitment process, ensuring NQs communicated with consistently and promptly
  • Constant focus on effective recruitment, attracting quality candidates direct to avoid agency costs where possible
  •   Utilising the new Apprenticeship scheme to bring on board more talent at junior level to train and develop
  • Ensuring all electronic filing is kept up-to-date, as well as assisting with relevant entries into the HR system;
  • Assisting with the implementation of firm-wide recruitment and retention related policies and ensuring that these are kept up to date;
  • Collaborating with the HR Director to assist Heads of Team with the production of resourcing plans and ensure requirement levels are proactively managed;
  • Provide market information in relation to compensation packages and talent attraction incentives and produce annual report on salary trends across the market place.

The post-holder will report to the HR Director.

Skills and knowledge

  • IT literate including Office 2010, with experience of using applicant tracking system/s
  • Attention to detail
  • Experience of working in a professional services environment is desirable
  • Strong recruitment background
  • Ability to hit the ground running and communicate well with all levels
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to prioritise workload
