Advertising Agency Sales Manager

We now have the opportunity for either an experienced Advertising Agency Sales Manager to help with the continuing expansion of our brands within our overall growth strategy.

Reporting in to the Head of Sales, you will contribute to the commercial strategy to ensure that business targets are achieved and will be responsible for developing, maintaining and growing our business relationships and commercial partnerships with the important client base of Recruitment Media Advertising Agencies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage your own workload to ensure you are able to work to the sales plan and generate the expected revenue levels

  • Conduct face to face meetings with Ad Agency staff to ensure they are clear on where our niches can help their clients recruit

  • Attend networking events around the industry to help grow and maintain relationships

  • Work with our office based Account Managers to get feedback on client response and to ensure all customers get a first class service

  • Produce a monthly report, focusing on, but not limited to, activity within the month, as well as showing progress towards targets to be discussed with the Head of Sales

Knowledge and experience:

  • A background in B2B sales in the recruitment media advertising agency market, would be preferred but we will consider applicants who have worked with advertising agencies in other industries or have a great face to face track record in the B2B sales environment

  • Ability to create a strong team spirit working with our internal account managers and marketing staff to ensure all of our brands are at the forefront of the Advertising Agency staff

  • Adaptable selling and negotiating skills to win business

Essential Criteria:

  • Proven sales experience

  • Understanding sales pipelines and how to develop from prospecting to sale and beyond

  • Effective planning and organisational skills - able to juggle, prioritise and manage

  • A self-starter, who thrives under pressure to achieve challenging goals

  • Able to build and maintain internal and external relationships
