TRM Recruitment
Location: London, City
Job type: Permanent
Contact: Tom Markham
Sector: Accountancy, Banking/Investment, Rec 2 Rec
Category: Account Jobs, Recruitment Manager Jobs, Senior Consultant Jobs

Let's face it, the majority of recruitment positions and companies are pretty much the same. "Great commission" "Amazing culture" blah blah, but the reality is they are probably no different form where you are working. Like with everything, there are exceptions to the rule.

Who we recruiting for, and why are they different?

They are a global professional services recruiter, probably the largest specialist you've never heard of! As a quick headline - they have 90% staff retention of a global headcount of 200. They operate in marketing, HR, Legal, and Tax and can confidently say they are market leaders within  most of these disciplines. There are no KPI's here, instead a great client base, working alongside professional, quality lead recruiters. It must be good if so few people are leaving! They average billing per head is £175,00 pcm so clearly good money is being made.

What's the desk like?

Interim and contract HR placements mainly into FS and professional services. There are PSL's in place and some warm accounts to take over straight away. These include a number of FTSE 100 companies. The market for HR is a better than often thought. HR is needed for upturns to enable growth, and in downturns to deal with restructures and redundancies, so its a good market to establish yourself in.

Why is it a good option for a senior consultant?

You will be left to your own devices to get on and do what you do best. Recruit! You will have warm accounts, and you will be working with some of the best recruiters in the city. However there is no ego culture here - they work as a team. Your base salary will exceed the market average and no one has ever left the business based on their commission scheme. Not bad for a 30 year old company

Who should apply for this?

You would need to a be an experienced interim/contract recruiter, ideally within professional services i.e finance. You must have a focus on providing a professional service to candidates and clients.
