What is the built environment and who will I be recruiting?

So as a Recruiter that specialises in this field you will literally be helping to build the world around you.


Let's get to the training...

From day one you will be working alongside a senior recruiter, to gain first-hand knowledge from an expert in their field, meaning you will get to learn from the best and get a short cut to success. This, supported by a structured training programme to teach you all the basics to become a great recruiter, will help you to maximise your earnings in year one


Wondering what you will be doing each day?

Well from your first day you will start to build your technical knowledge to understand each job role in this world and what those people do. You will then start to look at the companies in this sector, getting to know their unique qualities, services and culture so that when you manage a vacancy for them you know how to promote it to the best candidates. And that leads us on to your candidates. Professional engineers, managers, designers and more who will come to you for advice and help to gain their next move. You might offer advice on salaries, which firms might be better suited to their personality and what to do with their CV.

All of this feels quite meaningful but the critical actions you are looking to achieve are arranging interviews. If you promote your vacancies to the best people, and promote  your best people to the best companies then interviews happen. And if you arrange enough interviews, placements happen. And placement generate fee income for the business which you gain a bonus for.

What do I need?

The great thing about recruitment is personality matters. Yes hard work is essential here but some natural indicators that recruitment is right for you are that you enjoy speaking to new people, that you relish a challenge, that you like to compete and can take on board feedback in a positive way. 

This company believes in the power of the team and so invests in great social events, rewards, trips away and having lots of fun to balance the hard work - so you probably need to be someone that enjoy a lot of socialising!

Finally, you will need to be educated to Degree level and have some previous experience in either recruitment, sales, customer service or telesales, which could be during study or full time.
