What is Digital?

Think of your iPhone; how you use Neflix; how you buy things online; how you download apps; buy online books; stream music; talk to Alex... Pretty much everything you do today is supported by the latest cutting edge technology. By joining this team you will be working with the world’s most prominent names – from cool start ups to global giants.

As a Recruitment Consultant that specialises in these fields you will be given access to the inner workings on these companies, tasked with tracking down and attracting the best talent to help them research, design, build, improve and promote their products and services.

It’s a genuinely fascinating area of recruitment..

But first the training!

While the aim will be for you to fully manage your own portfolio of companies who will work with you to find their next superstar you can’t possibly offer advice, be the expert or work confidently until you have learned the basics of not just good recuritment but GREAT recruitment.

This means an intense training programme with peers and then also applying what you have learned in real time with the support of a team of experienced Recruiters and Managers around you.

The training and development doesn’t stop there though. Once you are up and running, successfully managing roles, advising professionals on how to achieve their next role, arranging interviews and negotiating offers… You will continue to develop, deepening your technical knowledge, refining your skills for optimal results and acquiring further skills to help you develop longer term depending on which career path you wish to follow for your senior career.

A day in the life

One of the things we love most about this environment is that this is a team that works hard but knows how to have fun while they do it.

A lively playful office with exceptional resources, furniture, perks and break out areas, you can feel the energy and success that this team has enjoyed for many years.

No stuffy corporate suits here – instead there is a relaxed dress code but don’t let that fool you. Some serious work and skill is at play and some of the Recruiters here are generating in excess of £1M in revenue and earning £500K! You won’t get there over night but it’s a hell of a lot easier to learn advanced techniques when you’re surrounded by such talented people.

You’ll be on the phone a lot as you will learn that to influence your clients and candidates to take that all important next step will require your encouragement and input. You will be working at your PC to write job adverts, produce CVs and send out marketing campaigns. And you will be out and about meeting your clients at their cool offices and meeting candidates to understand what they want next in their career so that you can go and find it for them.

Ultimately you are promoting jobs to potential candidates or promoting a great candidate to your clients. With the simple aim of making as many successful placements as possible

Each successful job filled/ candidate placed results in a fee for the company and you earn a healthy commission.


So what does it take?

For this particular company an interest in the world of digital products and services will definitely be an advantage but there are some requirements that are essential. Do you have these qualities?:

  • A genuine interest in meeting new people
  • An ability to build rapport with new people quickly
  • An ability to get someone to talk about themselves
  • Natural drive to achieve results, compete with others, or be the best
  • Ability to learn and take on board coaching and advice
  • Resilience – have you faced difficulties in the past and learned to get back up and try again?
  • Educated to Degree level?
  • Some previous experience in recruitment, sales, customer service or B2B relationship management (can be during study or full time)

If this sounds like you, you can expect to achieve

  • First year earnings of £40K - £60K (Starting salary £22K - £25k + Commission + Bonuses)
  • Second year earings of £60K - £75K (based on team average)
