Business Development Executive

Leeds city centre

£18k - £20k basic (OTE £2,400 pa)

A recruitment consultancy based in Leeds city centre that specialises in providing on-site managed service solutions for clients throughout the UK is now looking for a Business Development Executive. You will be responsible for developing new client's accounts within the food & logistics marketplaces working at departmental level to sell my client's products and services. You will be expected to form strong business relationships with existing key clients and be able to indentify opportunities to grow the accounts, whilst pro actively sourcing and developing new clients through face-to-face client meetings.

The person

  • This position will develop into a field based role so a full clean UK driver's licence is required and your own vehicle is essential.
  • Applicants must be based in the Yorkshire region
  • Previous experience within recruitment is desirable, however applicants from other sectors will also be considered.
  • You must have excellent communication skills, be target driven with strong selling skills.
  • Applicants with evidence of accredited sales training will be very desirable.
  • You will be resilient, able to deal with pressure and have experience of dealing with accounts at CEO & Director level management
  • Your organisation and time management skills will be second to none.
  • Be competent in diary and territory management.
  • This person will have good commercial awareness and business acumen, capable of analysing the regional market and market trends.

The main responsibilities are:

  • Identify new business opportunities throughout the UK
  • Working from a database
  • Secure new business meetings with key stakeholders
  • Identify forthcoming tenders
  • Build rapport and maintain relationships within each company
  • Work with the sales team to build the solution for the client
