£20k Basic and £40k 1st Year On Target Earnings
Established in 1998, my client have grown rapidly into a multinational firm with offices in London, Frankfurt, New York, Moscow and Sao Paulo. Now standing at hundreds of consultants strong they are entering the next phase of their plans for growth in 2012, and as a result are looking for graduates with exceptional drive and ambition to profit from this tremendous company and hugely lucrative industry.
With their Headquarters in the City of London, they have built a mature business which has a strong focus on training and developing it's Consultants to be their leaders of the future. They state their key attributes as a business as flexibility and maturity', all new trainees in the business will be entrusted with Blackberrys and Flattops and their working environment is a world away from the boiler-room' set up of some other firms.
In terms of training, you will be given a mentor who will be a consultant with years of experience within the business. Learning under their wing, your learning will also be supplemented by external classes and regular reviews to support your progress as a trainee. As well as this, they offer continuous training to full Consultants who are no longer at a trainee stage in order to train them for management opportunities; such is their commitment to producing extremely well-rounded Consultants.
The tremendous financial rewards available in this role are coupled with a tremendous incentives structure. Successful consultants can expect themselves to be rewarded monthly and quarterly in the following ways:
- Expenses paid lunch clubs and nights out in areas of London such as Mayfair, Covent Garden and Soho.
- 5* individual or company holidays abroad
- Boxes at Premiership football games and many other high profile sporting events
- A yearly incentive for top billers in each team involving a £15k holiday or £15k in cash!
The role of a Recruitment Consultant can be described at a very basic level as an intermediary between your candidates and your clients. You must however be proactive in how you research and source both sides of the role; a successful Consultant must regularly cold call in order to generate as many of these as possible and therefore have a great breadth of potential placements. Along with generating candidates through advertising, referrals and headhunts, you will also be expected to proactively generate new business with clients and also maintain existing relationships through face to face contacts.
The ideal candidate will be of graduate calibre, but will also be an individual who is able to draw upon a wide variety of extra curricular experiences that demonstrate their proactive nature and self-drive. Chief amongst these experiences are those that could be seen as entrepreneurial such as performing well within a sales environment, starting up a business venture of being involved in activities that require the ability to be persuasive. Fluency in German, Russian and French will be seen as favourable, however this is by no means essential.
Your motivations are also important; as this is a commission based role by client is keen to meet people with the determination to make a healthy amount of money for themselves and are willing to work hard for it. If you also have the drive to progress quickly within your career and crave a company that will give you progression based on merit rather than experience.
