2011 has been a great year for Roevin (Adecco Group). The business has grown in a tough economic climate and is looking to grow further next year hence the creation of a Business Development Manager.
This role will drive UK, European and worldwide business. The ability to leverage business at a senior level is key as well as the pitching and putting together of bids and presentations. The BD Manager will work with the Managers and consultants of each office to cross sell the Roevin brand.
For over 35 years the name of ROEVIN has been synonymous with the professional recruitment of temporary and permanent white collar, blue collar and support personnel, for a diverse range of engineering and technical industry sectors. This role will drive business across all disciplines.
The UK Business Development Manager will principally be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities that reside above the transactional business conducted by the branch/office network of the business (typically £2 Million+) across all the Roevin business. The BDM is also responsible for partnering with International colleagues on the development of opportunities where the decision making process sits outside of the UK & Ireland and also for ensuring that UK & Ireland opportunities with International scope are identified, qualified and then exported to the relevant Adecco global contacts.
The primary objective of the Business Development Manager role will be to maximise the volume of new and existing business secured for Roevin.
You will take the lead role in driving new business sales and development within the Engineering market whilst ensuring that its delivery is in line with company objectives and strategy. You will generate your own leads and pipeline and be an experienced networker at a senior level. The leads will in the main be created and not simply built from a tender process without prior client engagement.
As an ambassador for the wider Adecco Group, as well as an advocate for the Roevin business, you will be required to refer and promote the range of services and the vertical sector for which you are accountable. In addition, you will be responsible for facilitating the knowledge base across the Group by sharing customer data and profiling information. You will therefore need to build strong internal relationships across the Group and demonstrate sound influencing and diplomacy skills.
Experience and Qualification
Current or previous business development experience at corporate level with a strong Engineering focus is essential.
You will have proven and tangible evidence of winning business and developing and nurturing client relationships at board level and will also have a comprehensive knowledge of the full range of Engineering solutions which UK & Ireland customers currently take advantage of.
As the role relates to identifying opportunities within the Engineering Market you must be able to demonstrate solid experience of planning, strategising and opportunity qualification to ensure that the Roevin targets are met.
As the sales lead you will have solid experience of working within a team environment and will understand when and where to call upon the expertise of the wider Adecco community co-ordinating activity is key in designing, developing, pricing and delivering the required client solution.
You will strong presentation skills, both formal and round table, be able to recognise additional sales opportunities for Roevin (such as RPO, Employed Consultant Model etc) and show genuine commercial acumen in your cost and price modelling.
