Hiring graduates is central to the strategic growth of Thomson Keene; a number of senior members of the team joined our graduate programme in previous years. As a Support Consultant you will work with experienced Senior Consultants on blue chip client accounts across our divisions. You will learn on the job as well as attending external training courses covering financial markets products, recruitment methods and technology. You will learn from industry leaders and be treated as a key member of the team, helping to grow the company from day 1. You will not be expected to directly earn revenue after 3 months like many recruitment firms; in our experience the best Recruitment Consultants are those who fully understand their market sector, their clients and their candidates. The role will involve using a variety of mechanisms to assist Senior Consultants in locating the best talent for our core Investment Banking clients and playing an ever-increasing role through the recruitment process as well as building client contact. You must be a fast learner, well organised and highly analytical with a flexible approach to solving problems. You must be prepared to learn your trade, really understanding the market we operate in, rather than attempting to run before you can walk. Very strong presentation and communication skills are essential. Ultimately candidates must have a bias towards running your own "desk" with P&L and strategic responsibility. Prior sales experience would be beneficial but not essential Ability to work to aggressive time scales, quick thinking but with the ability to understand, and therefore affect, the complexities of each transaction Candidates should have a strong academic record, with a numerate degree from a top tier University Other non academic achievements will be expected in addition to your degree e.g. sporting achievements, international travel, charity work etc.
