This is a rare opportunity to join a VC funded staffing business focusing on an untapped market - High Street recruitment in China. This is a big picture project with a very ambitious business plan hence a heavyweight operations director is required to work alongside the CEO in building and developing infrastructure.
Specifically your role will be :
Reviewing all systems for processing of finances, implementing a finance function
Developing all training modules and courses for new and existing recruits.
Overcoming all Asia / Ex pats issues, implementing a strong "local" management team
Implementing all templates / terms of business / protocols
Implementing all KPI's and introducing a sales culture into the business
Designing methodology around major accounts and putting in place a new business / business development team
Reviewing all marketing strategies
Building an internal recruitment function
The business has a fantastic mix of ex pat entrepreneurial leaders as well as local knowledge. The management are very well respected in the China market with deep roots into the business community hence they are ideal partners to be driving this project with.
You will have a strong background in operational, high turnover, low margin staffing. Blue collar, labour hire or office support, high street recruitment are ideal environments to leverage from. You will have a good understanding of cash flow implications in this industry along with a operational understanding of how to deal with paper flows. From a sales perspective you will be adept at training ( or putting in place and overseeing training ) Junior staff. Ideally experience of Asia is a plus although not essential. China is a very different environment to other mainstream Asia cities so a true desire to spend two years in the market is a must.
