This is an exciting and challenging role in a fast paced, entrepreneurial and driven environment with high expectations for new corporate business development. Dependant on experience, this role offers the opportunity to be a member of the board or excellent prospects to join.
This role requires a commercial and experienced senior individual with extensive sector experience to lead the New business development team for the UK and Ireland Business.
The ability to think and create strategically is critical to success. You should have proven UK business development experience and a demonstrable track record of success in this field.

The role suits a high energy individual with the vision to drive my client forward using a combination of sales excellence, leading edge strategy and commitment to delivering superior performance and business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Objective
1. To co-ordinate UK and Ireland corporate sales new business activities.
2. To manage and report Wins, Losses and WIP / pipeline at UK Board level.
3. To win and retain corporate client business, in line with corporate strategy and objectives.
4. To provide the primary co-ordination interface with the EMEA Business Solutions Group on behalf of the UK.
Strategy
1. In tandem with the Managing Director and other senior members of the business, drive new business corporate activities to support the growth strategy of the UK business.
2. Devise new strategic staffing solutions to ensure that my client leads the UK staffing market for innovation and creativity.
3. Provide the interface, on behalf of the UK, into the EMEA Business Solutions Group.
4. Contribute to the development of my client by providing input in the development of strategy for overall business growth
5. Pro actively analyse and interpret market information to identify key growth markets and sectors and exploit them for corporate new business optimisation. Advise the board where significant business opportunities may exist resulting from political, social, economic, sector or market change.
Sales excellence
1. Utilising market analysis and forecasting, identify and develop relationships with new Key clients and develop and exploit existing relationships with Key clients, to identify and maximise new business opportunities, selling our portfolio of services
2. Work closely with Bid team to oversee the major process from end to end, including identification of opportunity, RFI, RFP, presentations to key stakeholders, offer, planning and creation of the implementation process framework. Acquisition of new corporate client frameworks is the primary objective for this role.
3. Ensure that my client meets a consistent quality level of excellence each and every time a Bid is submitted. Ultimately responsible for all corporate business formal responses.
4. Work in partnership with Retail and Corporate Sales Directors to ensure the smooth transition of secured business wins.
5. Report to the Board on ongoing wins, including providing a status update for current/recent wins, providing details of the new business activity pipeline, and providing accurate new wins forecasting ensuring that the pipeline of activity is always sufficient to meet the allocated corporate targets
6. Service scope to include new business generation in the following IT Staffing and Consulting areas; UK PSL, Project Resourcing, ECM, Managed Services and People Sourcing Solutions
7. Ensure that potential sales productivity is high and costs are acceptable by ensuring that sales resources are planned and managed effectively
People
1. Recruit, manage, retain and provide on going development for direct reports using mentoring, coaching and training to ensure capability to deliver business success and ensure that managers develop their direct reports
2. Ensure staff and team competencies are brought in line with the agreed company standards in order to equip the company with the right level of skills to stay ahead of current and future competition
Knowledge and innovation
1. Apply knowledge of market, industry trends, competitors, and leading customer strategies to plan and execute effectively
2. Apply lateral thought and creativity in order to identify new business opportunities and devise creative processes, procedures, systems and initiatives that will ensure an increase in productivity and revenue
Person Specification
Skills, Knowledge and Attributes
• Proven track record in developing and delivering strategic staffing solutions, preferably with other sector solution selling experience
• Excellent influential, motivational/leadership skills
• Previous experience of managing senior personnel
• Strong relationship management skills with a proven track record of nurturing high level relations
• Excellent knowledge of the recruitment industry and all major sectors of the IT marketplace
• Demonstrable experience of developing new business within the corporate market place
• Demonstrable in-depth understanding of pricing and finance models in order to structure profitable client solutions
• Strong people skills and possess the ability to work well with people at all levels in the organisation
• Thorough understanding of the RTO and PSL solution life cycle, ideally with extensive sourcing and delivery model expertise.
• High level of written and verbal communication skills, with advanced presentation skills and the ability to articulate compelling large outsourcing deals to key clients and the Board
