Job Description

PURPOSE OF JOB

To support the growth and success of the practice by building knowledge of the market and candidates within it, identifying vacancies, presenting suitable shortlist quality candidates for vacancies, and researching adjoining and new markets.

KEY ACTIVITIES

Maintain regular contact with candidates, understand their career aspirations and evaluate their strengths and weaknesses. Agree action plan with candidates, identifying the parameters in which job opportunities should be presented.

Extend the candidate base.

Identify vacancies by networking

Identify potential candidates for vacancies, sourced either from our existing database or by headhunt activity. Approach candidates, evaluate their suitability, generate candidate interest and prepare a shortlist for the consultant.

Create advertisements on internet jobsites and manage the response.

Prepare organisation charts in companies in the practice's market.

Research potential new vertical markets into which the practice could develop. Prepare a report identifying companies in the market, size and seniority of relevant management teams, management churn rate and our competitors.

(Medium term) own relationships with clients.

KEY SKILLS/COMPETENCIES

Relationship development.

Selling and influencing skills.

Ability to assess candidates and match to current or future vacancies.

Rapid, yet thorough response to new vacancies.

Energy and determination to achieve targets and KPI's.

Commercially focussed prioritisation of workload.

Positive presentation/telephone manner.

Structured - good attention to detail (for example, in maintaining the accuracy of database records).


SUCCESS CRITERIA

Number of appointments made by the practice.

Number of relationships in the market.

Improvement in the appointment : vacancy ratio.
