One of our clients is one of the leading and most respected PR recruitment firms in the market. Due to a combination of a relocation and a consultant joining a client they are looking to take on two experienced recruiters; one to handle the Technology/Digital sector and the other to look after Consumer clients. The technology desk looks after PR roles within IT and Telecoms together with technology led companies like Amazon and Yahoo. The Consumer desk handles positions in media, entertainment, retail, music and fashion amongst others. In both cases the vacancies could be client side, in boutique specialist agencies or in dedicated teams within the big global PR practices.
The client has been established for nearly 15 years and works with all the agencies that they want to. As a result there is very little emphasis on new business generation in either of these roles with the focus firmly on making high quality placements in a professional and ethical fashion. Both desks are active and produced over £160,000 of revenue in 2009 with the potential to exceed £200k this year of which the consultants will earn 35 to 40%.
Whilst a background in PR Recruitment will be a distinct advantage the client is more then happy to look at experienced consultants, who are used to dealing with senior appointments, from other backgrounds within media, marketing, digital or other creative environments.
