As support to the principal recruitment consultant you will be; gathering candidate names, interviews, candidate management, database maintenance and ensuring quality assurance compliance.
Liaising with a large number of people, you will be charged with collating as much information as possible to get the perfect candidate. As a resourcer you'll have two main routes; firstly within an employment agency (specialising in recruiting for an industry) or you could work in-house for a HR department and recruit for internal positions. This route means you deal with both permanent, contract and temporary positions to find suitable candidates at a range of different levels.
The role is 9-5pm, and with thousands of recruitment agencies in the UK, you can specialise in any industry you choose. Transferring your skills across various fields is a great chance to keep your work fresh. With increased experience within a bigger company you will find yourself moving up the career ladder and promotion into a consultancy, business development or management role is possibility. You will always find success if you're consistent in delivering or exceeding your targets and making a big impression on clients.
In terms of a salary, you will be looking at an average of £17,500 a year, but once you've gained more experience you should find that your salary can increase to £20,000 - 40,000 (plus commision).
